NIGERIA @61: OGUN WEST YOUTH PROGRESSIVE FORUM PREACHES LOVE AND UNITY

The leadership of the Ogun West Youth Progressive Forum has urged Nigerians to make a decision to love and respect our nation. We will never forget the struggles, the wars and the spoil of Independence that made us what we are today.

In a statement made available by the President of the Forum, Comrade Ezekiel Aderounmu, "Ogun West youths are proud to be Nigerians, where at least we know we are free and we won't forget the patriots who paid the ultimate price for the nationhood we are part of today".

Comrade Aderounmu said, "today, let's celebrate those who shed their blood for our freedom. They are the ones who deserve the honour. Independence Day also makes for a perfect occasion to fill our hearts with patriotism and feel proud of the brave efforts of our past heroes".

"Regardless of the prevailing circumstances in the country at present, let us take a pledge to protect the unity and peace of our nation because our love for our nation is boundless, our love for our people is endless. All we desire for our country is happiness".

It is easy to kill individuals, but you can not kill ideas. Great empires crumbled, while ideas survived".
