COVID-19: Shomide Reassures to impart People During the Lockdown.

Chairman transition committee, Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Ayodeji Michael Shomide has reiterated the need to impart people at council area during the lockdown exercise which in a mean time will commence on Saturday April 4th, 2020.

The emphasis was made when categories of committees were set up purposely on how dwellers and indigenes of Abeokuta South Local  Government Area will not experience hunger during compulsory stay-at-home exercise in order to shirk the dredead disease call "Coronavirus".

Hon. Shomide in his statement averted that, food items and relief materials shall be extended to the people within Abeokuta South Local  Government regardless of their tribes. He enjoined the committees to perform the assigned duty with faithful hearts and equity for the set-up of the committees is solely hinged on how the council will be able to aid populace who are going to sit at home, thereafter assured the people that the food items and relief packages shall reach everyone who dwells in the council area without entertaining tribal race in the communities.

He however posited that synergy has been made with the members of Community Development Association (CDA) and the chairman council of Baales  Abeokuta South Local Government, chief Tunji Falola that they should talk to their people and ensure to let their minds be at peace during the uncertainty.

While pleading with people at Abeokuta South  local government concerning the information earlier disseminated which expressed that the distribution of food items and relief materials have started.

He added that the delay was due to unexpected circumstances; that by the special grace of God, the relief package distributions shall begin on Saturday April 4th, 2020.
