COVID-19 LOCKDOWN: Shomide Ayodeji Gives Food items, Cash to the Dwellers of Abeokuta South Local Government Area.

The chairman, transition committee Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Ayodeji Michael Shomide has given aid to the masses of Abeokuta South Local Government Area following the lockdown effect that will begin at 11pm today.

The Chairman, transition committee distributed the food items, which include rice, gari, noodles, and cash among others to the cohabitants of the council areas said he was concerned about the well being of his people in the areas.

He thereafter reminded the people at Abeokuta South Areas that there would be total lockdown for the next 14days.


This means that all movements will be totally restricted and those who will be able to move around are key workers in both State and local government

He said, his administration would continue to do everything within its power to improve the welfare of the people in the council, he seized the opportunity of the occasion to urge residents of the council to stay at home during the compulsory holidays while pleading with people to remain calm and be at peace.

Hon. Shomide charged the people to always practice good hygienic lifestyle and ensure to keep to the directives of the Federal Ministry of Health which indicate that Nigerians should always wash their hands, every 20 seconds and maintain at least 1 metre ( 3feet) distance from a coughing or sneezing person.
