“MY ADMINISTRATION IS OPEN TO SUPPORT LAUDABLE ACHIEVEMENTS”-Hon Shomide Tells AOPSHON


The Transition Chairman of Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon Ayodeji Shomide has expressed his administration readiness to support any laudable projects or achievements of any associations, groups or organisations that are ready to partner in developing the Local Government Area.

Hon Shomide stated this when he received the Executive Member of the Association of Primary School Head Teachers of Nigeria (AOPSHON) Abeokuta South Chapter, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office recently.

The Council boss emphasized that his administration is operating an open door policy, where innovative ideas are welcome from various partners in the spirit of contributing to the progress and betterment of the Council Area. He therefore encouraged the guests to be up and doing while discharging their statutory roles at their various duty posts.

Hon Shomide also used the avenue to informed the association of the Local Government Awareness Programme on educating the people at the grassroot on how to protect and prevent themselves from the outbreak of deadly coronavirus, which has rendered many people dead and millions hospitalised globally.

While welcoming the group to the Council Secretariat,
The Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), Mrs Bukola Adeniregun appreciated them for their visit. She assured them of the Local Government readiness to work hand – in – hand with them and advised them not to relent in seeking for the Local Government assistance whenever their is a need for it.

Speaking on behalf of the Association, the Chairman of the Association, Mr Sanusi Dauda Abolade shown their appreciation to the chairman and other committee members for welcoming them to the Council. He mentioned that it is imperative for them to do so having observed the numerous achievements of Hom Shomide Led administration within the short period of time of assuming the office. He promised the association’s allegiance and unflinching support to the LG boss, prayed for their success in the office.

Present with the Chairman at the meeting were the Transition Committee Members and the Principal Career Officers in the Local Government.
