OPINION: BUILDING CAPACITY BEFORE ELECTION DAY

One of the first and most important steps in deploying the VotersPlus platform is ensuring that candidates and canvassers understand how to effectively use the application.

During our deployment for the Udu State Constituency House of Assembly rerun on the 19th of September, 2026, the VotersPlus Management Team commenced operations with the onboarding of the candidate and practical training of canvassers.

The training focused on how to navigate the platform, understand their roles and responsibilities, and, importantly, how to capture and upload polling-unit result information through the VotersPlus application.

For us, technology is only as effective as the people who use it.

That is why VotersPlus places strong emphasis on training, onboarding and field readiness before Election Day.

From the polling unit to the campaign situation room, our goal is to ensure that authorised field personnel can efficiently submit information while campaign teams have structured access to the reports coming from the field.

Udu was more than a deployment. It was a practical test of our people, process and technology ahead of 2027.
