OGUN 2027: LET THE RECORDS, STRENGTH AND VISION OF CANDIDATES SPEAK

As the 2027 general elections draw nearer, electorates have a very important responsibility: to look beyond friendships, personal interests, promises and sentiments, and carefully assess the records, strength, competence and vision of all Political Candidates.

Ogun State is very important to the APM’s quest to get to governor's seat in 2027 for us to treat this election as business as usual.

We must ask ourselves some difficult but necessary questions. What has each incumbent done during their tenure? What has the new candidates achieved in their previous roles? Who has demonstrated the capacity to organize, unite and mobilize the grassroots? Who can rebuild confidence among grassroots and reconnect the party with floating voters? Who has a realistic strategy to win the elections for all APM Candidates?.

We should not be afraid to ask these questions. Accountability is not an attack on individuals; it is necessary for rebuilding a stronger state.

At the same time, this election should not become an exercise in blaming the past. It must be about choosing leaders capable of correcting our mistakes and delivering a new direction. Ogun State needs leader who will work tirelessly at the grassroots, unite the party, strengthen constituency structures, identify new voters, engage young people and women, rebuild relationships with communities, and develop practical strategies to win seats in 2027.

We should therefore assess both incumbent and new candidates on merit. If an incumbent has performed well, that record should speak for them. If a new candidate like TPL Rotimi (Prince) Rotimi Matthew Babajide has demonstrated competence, commitment and the ability to deliver, that should also be recognized.

Let us vote for purposeful, accountable, hardworking and visionary leader, leader who understand that leadership is not a title but a responsibility.

Ogun State cannot afford another cycle of complacency, division and ineffective organization. The 2027 victory will not happen on election day; it will be built from today through disciplined organization, effective leadership, grassroots engagement and unity.

Look at the records. Examine the results. Assess the strengths. Consider the weaknesses. Evaluate the vision. And vote for the leader who can help rebuild our dear State, Ogun and position the APM to win in 2027.

The future of Ogun State is in our hands. Let us choose wisely. Let us choose purposefully. Let us choose TPL PRINCE ROTIMI MATHEW BABAJIDE to move Ogun State forward.
