DEMOCRACY DAY: Ogun APM Calls For Resilience in Nigeria's Pursuit of Justice For All Citizens



As we commemorate June 12, Nigeria's Democracy day, the Allied People's Movement (APM) Ogun  State has emphasized the importance of resilience in Nigeria’s ongoing journey towards ensuring justice for all its citizens.


In a message signed by the State Chairman, Comrade Dr. Abayomi Sanyaolu, urged Ogun residents and Nigerians to remain resolute and unwavering in their collective efforts to uphold democratic governance.


He highlighted the significance of democratic principles in safeguarding freedom of choice, promoting the rule of law, and empowering ordinary citizens to demand justice from those in positions of authority at all levels.


Comrade Sanyaolu emphasized that the observance of Democracy Day should not be limited to a mere date on the calendar, but should serve as a moment for all Nigerians to reflect on the resilience, strength, and unwavering spirit of the heroes who have sacrificed to establish and maintain democracy in the country.


He stressed the importance of honoring the legacy of those who paved the way for the democratic government we enjoy by ensuring that citizens continue to have access to justice, freedom of choice, and the rule of law as fundamental democratic principles.


Additionally, Sanyaolu emphasized the need to empower the people to lead dignified lives by utilizing resources for their benefit and providing opportunities for economic participation at all levels.


He described democracy as an ongoing journey that requires the active participation, vigilance, and dedication of every citizen.


He called on Nigerians to support Engr. Seyi Makinde's Presidential Bid in mobilizing resources and overcoming challenges to progress towards a more inclusive, equitable, and prosperous society.
