TPL ROTIMI BABAJIDE EMERGES OGUN APM GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE.

The political landscape in Ogun State is gathering momentum ahead of governorship contest, the Allied People's Movement has reaffirmed TPL Rotimi Mathew Babajide as the Consensus Candidate of the party setting the state to what it would become most one of the state most  closely watch political battles.

News has it that the atmosphere of the Allied People's Movement APM governorship primary in ogun state reflected a high political stake surrounding the contest, representatives of the National Electoral Commission INEC and Security personnel present, Monitor and supervised the exercise.

Party leaders at the event expressed optimism that APM remains strong opposition party to get to power in the state existing the all going political realignments has strengthened the party’s prospect. Delegates, stakeholders,  Youth groups, and supporters from the twenty local government areas of ogun state turned out in large numbers for the exercise. 

At the end of the program,  delegates unanimously endorsed TPL Rotimi Mathew Babajide as the Governorship Candidate of the party.

In his acceptance speech, TPL Rotimi Babajide says his decision to seek for governorship was even by desire by rescue ogun state from what he described as yes of poor governance and economic decline. He said there is nothing in ogun state to justify the statutory allocations coming to our state.

"I stand before you today to take up the challenge to lead and lead Ogun State to prosperity and justice and I am taking up this leadership challenge because the Ogun State of our forefathers like Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Chief MKO Abiola, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Prof. Wole Soyinka and may others should not be allowed to be taken over by political invaders. This is "Ogun State"!!!!. We have roots, we have history. We should be very resolute in a time like this not to allow second colonization". He said

My Vision and Mission is to make Ogun State the leading industrial, educational, and agricultural hub in Nigeria—where every citizen has access to opportunity, safety, and a high quality of life, and to deliver transparent, people-centered governance that creates jobs, strengthens infrastructure, and empowers communities across all local governments.

Party stakeholders also expressed confidence in TPL Rotimi Mathew Babajide grassroots appeal that the party stands the strong chance if the election process remains free, fair and transparency.

Earlier, in his speech,  the Chairman of the party in Ogun State,  Comrade Dr. Abayomi Omolaja Sanyaolu urged voters to support all candidates under the Allied People's Movement and Engr. Oluwaseyi Makinde presidential bid in the forthcoming elections.

"We are one family in APM.  By the grace of God,  before noon on election day, Engr. Seyi Makinde and all APM Candidates will emerge victorious," he said.
