Ojude Oba 2026: Adebutu Donates #250K to each Regberegbe Groups to Supports Ijebu Culture

Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, incoming Governor of Ogun State in 2027, has once again demonstrated his absolute allegiance to Ijebu culture and heritage by supporting all Regberegbe groups at Ojude Oba 2026 with a donation of ₦250,000 each. The gesture is aimed at strengthening the cultural expressions, unity, and vibrancy that the Regberegbe groups bring to the annual festival, which remains one of the most celebrated showcases of Ijebu identity.

According to him, sustaining the cultural legacy of the Ijebu people requires both recognition and practical support for the groups that preserve and display these traditions year after year. He clarified that the donation is meant as general support for the groups as they prepare for the festival that draws thousands of visitors to Ijebu Ode.

Hon. Adebutu reaffirmed that culture is a vital part of community cohesion and pride, and as incoming Governor of Ogun State in 2027 he remains dedicated to initiatives that uplift the people of Ijebu land and the entire state. He expressed hope that the support would contribute to a more colorful and memorable Ojude Oba 2026 celebration for all sons and daughters of Ijebu both at home and in the diaspora.
