ADC REVIEWS NOMINATION FORM FEES, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO INCLUSIVE PARTICIPATION AHEAD OF 2026 PRIMARIES
The African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ogun State Chapter, hereby announces the official review of its nomination form fees for the forthcoming 2026 Primary Elections, as part of ongoing efforts to deepen internal democracy and promote broader participation across all levels of the party.
Following a careful assessment of prevailing realities and in alignment with the party’s vision of inclusiveness and accessibility, the cost of nomination forms has been reviewed downward as follows: Presidential form now stands at ₦90,000,000, Governorship at ₦30,000,000, Senate at ₦10,000,000, House of Representatives at ₦5,000,000, and House of Assembly at ₦2,000,000.
In furtherance of our commitment to equity and participation, the party has introduced concessional rates to support underrepresented groups. Youths will enjoy a 50 percent discount, while women and persons with disabilities will benefit from a 25 percent discount* on nomination fees. This strategic step is designed to encourage wider participation and foster a more representative democratic process within the party.
The party also reiterates key highlights from the officially released 2026 Primary Election Timetable. Activities commenced with the publication of procedures on 30th April 2026, followed by the collection of forms from 1st to 4th May, and sale of forms from 5th to 10th May 2026. Submission of completed forms is scheduled for 11th to 13th May, with screening of aspirants holding on 14th and 15th May. Screening results will be published on 17th May, while appeals will take place between 18th and 19th May, leading to the final list of cleared aspirants on 20th May 2026.
The Primary Elections are scheduled to hold on 21st May 2026 for legislative positions, 22nd May 2026 for Governorship, and 25th May 2026 for the Presidential primary. This will be followed by the National Executive Committee meeting on 26th May and the Special National Convention on 27th May 2026.
We call on all members, stakeholders, and aspirants to adhere strictly to the outlined schedule and guidelines as released by the party. Aspirants are particularly urged to gear up for the task ahead with focus, discipline, and a strong commitment to the ideals of the ADC.
