Those Who Wanted to Privatise Our Party Through internal Dispute Has Been Defeated- NNPP

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) says it will not allow the party to be privatized by anyone thus referencing  President Bola Tinubu's expression about a politician wanting to privatise someone's political party. 

This is contained in a statement by the party's National Secretary, Mr Ogini Olaposi on Sunday. 

President Tinubu in one of his jabs at Atiku and others,  made an allusion to those who wanted to privatise someone's political party but failed to do so. 

"Indeed NNPP fits into what the President said with its wranglings with Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso trying to hijack the NNPP from it's founding founders 

"NNPP did not know earlier of the plans by Kwankwaso, our  2023 presidential candidate until the party's logo and colour symbol became changed without our consent.

"One begins  to wonder how people can change the logo and colour symbol of a registered political party without having the original certificate of registration for sighting  by INEC. 

"The implication is that anybody can go to inec and change the logo and colour symbol of APC, APGA, ADC and LABOUR etc, without the knowledge of the board of trustees of the party."

Olaposi urged Tinubu  to come descend heavily on the  activities and operations of certain institutions in Nigeria  in the interest of sustainable democracy .

"It is our belief that if the leaderships are  not closely monitored INEC may become a very serious problem to our democracy . 

"INEC's legal department must be overhauled and  the commission's penchancy to disobeying  court orders  must be stopped. 

"We know that conversion of one's property without his or her consent is criminal but we decided not to be distracted. 

"The most important thing is that we have defeated those who wanted to privatise our party through internal dispute resolution mechanism and the law to recover our party from the hijackers. 

The good news is that they have migrated to ADC to continue with their treachery and betrayal of trust. Oginni said!
