CHRISLAND UNIVERSITY PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR OGUN ANA



The Vice Chancellor of Chrisland University, Professor Oyedunnisola Arulogun, has pledged to partner the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) Ogun State Chapter in the area of capacity building  for staff and students of the University.

Professor Arulogun who stated this while receiving the Executive Members of Ogun ANA in her office said publication was a given for academicians who cannot progress without publishing.


She urged ANA to partner Chrisland University to improve the communication skills of students and assist them to discover their hidden creative skills which they can harness for wealth.

Speaking earlier, the Chairman of Ogun ANA and Orunto of Owu Kingdom, Dr. Abiodun Lasile asked for support to promote the flagging literacy and reading culture in the society through various activations on and off the university campus.


Also contributing, the Librarian of Chrisland University, Dr. Good luck Ifijeh urged writers to produce current books and stop the culture of reprinting old books adding that writers should use technology like the "turn-it-in" software to reduce plagiarism in books.


The Registrar of the University, Mr. Samuel Omotoso, in his own remarks underscored the importance of documentation and asked Ogun ANA to create a student wing of the Association to coordinate creative activities on campus.

A former Chairman of Ogun ANA, Dr. Olusegun Ashade joined us at Chrisland and the Exco was later hosted by a former Vice Chairman, Dr. Lucky Aikabeli, who commended the Exco for starting very well and urged sustenance of the momentum to take Ogun ANA higher and better.
