2027: Unite Against Bad Leaders, Showunmi tells Nigerians.

ABEOKUTA: The National leader of the Alternative Movement, Otunba Dr.Segun Showunmi charged Nigerians to avoid bad leaders come 2027, said this is the right time to RETHINK , REBUILD and RECLAIM the future and change the bad egg among the so called leaders in politics.

Showunmi, While speaking at the Southwest Alternative Meeting held at DLK events center, Abeokuta, Ogun State, said  that no doubt, Nigerians are tired of failed promises , empty rhetorics, and false pretences by our political elites,  over the years, our politicians have weaponized poverty. During campaigns, they use money to lure voters to vote for them. The electorates are much wiser now.

"These desperate politicians are now mopping lots of money ahead of 2027 to buy their way. Surprises await them! As nigerians united in 2015 when they voted for change, Nigerians must also reunite within three months to this time and rethink to change bad leaders in 2027".

"Those who have triggered the early politics in the perdition of the suddenly coalition, don't pay them any attention; they are the political IDPs. Don't listen to them; the home is here and it's the Alternative," Otunba Showunmi said.

He clarified that his visit to President Bola Ammed Tinubu has come under criticism, he said it has nothing to do by leaving his current political party or not, this has become a norm and common practice among the political class in the country. He expressed disappointment how he was humiliated, boing, and attacking after he visited the president.

The Alternative Movement is the greatest and one of opposition movement and the platform is to train sound political leaders that are not corrupt.

The event was attended by Ogun IPAD Chairman, Comrade Abayomi Sanyaolu, Labour Party State Chieftain, Hon. Arabambi, Traditional Rulers, Iyalojas, Farmers, Asoludero group, Hunters Associations, Students Union, Igede, Hausa, Igbo groups, and Various Political Parties from the geo-political  zone of Southwest.
