Ijaye Agog As High Chief Lai Labode Installed As The BALOGUN IJAYE-EGBA.

HISTORY Made today in the ancient city of Ijaye-Egba as High Chief Abdul-Gafar Laiwola Ishola Labode enter the warriors circle.

High Chief Gafar Ishola Lai Labode Installed in a colourful ceremony at Idi Ape, Isale-Abese, Ijaye, Abeokuta South Local Government, Ogun State Capital.

Dagunja of Ijaye, Chief Kamilu Abolade led High Chief Lai Labode to Balogun Seat.

The event drew many people including son's and daughter's of Ijaye kuurunmi, Traditional Rulers, Oloroguns and High Chiefs of Egbaland to witness the installation of a new BALOGUN IJAYE-EGBA.

High Chief Lai Labode was presented with staff of office and instrumental of office, making him the new BALOGUN of Ijaye-Egba, amid singing and drumming at a well-attended ceremony, thanked the good people of Ijaye-Egba for supporting him to ascend the throne.

Shortly before the presentation of the staff of office, the Otun Ijaye, Chief Moshood Olaitan and the Dagunja of Ijaye, Chief Kamilu Abolade led  the new Balogun to pay homage to the traditional rulers, High Chiefs and Oloroguns at the high table.

In his Congratulatory Message, the Tayese of Egbaland, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Ishola congratulated the new Balogun and the people of Ijaye-Egba and said with the amiable credentials, experience and exposure of the new Balogun, "there is no doubt about his ability to discharge his responsibilities in collaboration with other constituted authorities to make Ijaye, Egbaland and Ogun State at large better."

Dignitaries at the Historical events includes the Alake and Paramount Rulers of Egbaland, HRM Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, Represented. The Onijaye of Orile Ijaye Oyo State, HRM Oba Lasisi Akano, The Oni of ife also Represented. Many High Chiefs, Chiefs and Oloroguns from Egbaland.

Meanwhile, High Chief Lai Labode is the current OSI APAGUN of Egbaland before his new title. Convener and initiator of Egbaliganza, A group celebrating the spirit of Egba Nobility.

Egbaliganza, inspired by High Chief Lai Labode, the OSI APAGUN POTE Egbaland to unites High Chiefs, Princes, Princesses, and Egba leaders in a Vibrant display of unity and Cultural pride.
