Nigeria We Hail Thee or Arise O Compatriots, which One do You Prefer & Why?, ---FEMI OKE

 

Pres Tinubu has today accented the National Anthem bill passed by our APC/PDP/LP/NNPP/APGA/Any Other Party Nat. Assembly both the Hse of Reps & the Senate into law so we shall no more be singing Arise O Compatriots but _Nigeria We Hail Thee our Own Dear Native Land_

Going back to the Anthem the Oyinbo gave us, what a disaster indeed. Subsidies can be overcome by Improvements in the economy but changing our National Anthem to one already rejected na wa.

We need to Amend the Constitution such that it will require a Constitutional Amendment of the before our National Anthem can be changed. This is a sad day in our History going back to our Colonial Masters who saw our Nations as Native Tribes.

I dont recall any Serious Public Hearing in either of the Legislative Hses or Serious Debate in the Media on this Change in the Midst of Mass Poverty & Dispair this is what our Legislooters have bequeathed to Nigerians to Celebrate today May 29 2024,  one year in Office of Pres Bola Ahmed Tinubu's APC Led Fed Govt.

Those supposedly Elected to represent us have taken such a Crazy Decision which is supported by our Baba Agba Emilokan President Tinubu.

When we have a New Younger President will we go back to the Nigerian drafted Anthem made for a Youthful Nation than the Arugbo Anthem made for our Seniors.
