Chief Mustapha Pledges More Humanitarian Services in Egbaland

High Chief Mustapha Abdul-Hakeem Owolabi, a renowned fashion influencer and promoter of Egba cultural heritage, has pledged to continue contributing to the development of Egbaland and Ogun state. This commitment came after he received an award from the Southern Youth Assembly of Nigeria (SYAN) in recognition of his exceptional contributions to social and economic development in the state.

The award, dubbed "ICON of Humanity," acknowledges Chief Mustapha's sterling qualities, dedication, and personal contributions to the state's advancement. Chairman Comrade Ahmed Sani emphasized the importance of appreciating good deeds, stating that failure to do so will lead to depreciation.

Chief Mustapha's qualities, such as steadfastness, oneness, and insightfulness, have distinguished him as a remarkable individual in society. In his remarks, he dedicated the award to Almighty Allah, his parents, Alake of Egbaland Oba Dr. Aremu Gbadebo, and Chief Lai Labode, who provided him with a platform to contribute to Egba cultural heritage through Egbaliganza.

Egbaland, inhabited by the Egbas, a sub-tribe of the Yoruba, has a rich cultural heritage and history ¹. The Egbas have made significant contributions to Nigeria's development, particularly in the western region. Notable Egba sons, such as General Olusegun Obasanjo, have played key roles in shaping Nigeria's history.

Chief Mustapha's call to action, urging meaningful Egba sons and daughters to come together and help place Egbaland on the world map, is a testament to his commitment to promoting Egba cultural heritage and contributing to the development of Ogun state.
