OGUN PCRC INSTALLS ADVISERS & PATRONS AMIDST POMP & PAGEANTRY.

It was a gathering of crème-de-la-crem (who is who) in Ogun State yesterday at the Police Officers' Mess, Ibara, Abeokuta.

It can also be described as an assemblage of great people of Ogun State that witnessed the installation of eminent people as State Advisers, Patrons of Ogun State PCRC.

The gathering cut across captains of industries, legal men, academia, legislature, security chiefs and traditional rulers of repute.

This array of eminent personalities was decorated as Patrons of the PCRC in Ogun State.

The National Chairman of PCRC, Dr. Farouk  Maiyama ably represented by the National Vice Chairman (South West), Alhaji Ibraheem Olaniyan, the Zone II chairman, Alhaji B. R. O Balogun, while the State Chairman was the chief host.

The State Commissioner of Police, who was the Special Guest, CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun used the opportunity to appeal & issue a strong warning to criminally minded people to stay away from the state.

Just as communities are asking the Police to resume their duties in full, after the recent EndSARS protest that led to destruction of lives & properties.

The only female awardee installed as a Patroness is Prof (Mrs) Chinedum Peace Babalola, the Vice Chancellor of Chris land University, announced the commencent of one of the long awaited short course in security studies in January 2021.

This drew a very loud ovation from the people at the event.

According to the Vice Chancellor, the programme is specially packaged  for PCRC members, Police personnel and Community leaders.

The glamour of the investiture is second to none as 13 eminent personalities were decorated with top quality garlands & plaque.

1). Barrister Mutiu Agboke - Resident Electoral Commissioner, Oyo State.

2). Rt. Hon. Suraj Adekunbi, a former Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly.

3). Hon. Moruf Afuape - Ogun State Commissioner for Local Governments.

4). Very Rev. (Dr) Isaac Adeniji - Provost of Cathedral of St Peter's Church, Ake, Abeokuta.

5). Bishop Tunde Akin-Akinsanya - CAN Chairman, Ogun State

6). Prof (Mrs) Chinedun Peace Babalola - VC Chris land University.

The Royal fathers installed as Patrons inclinclude

1) Oba Saheed Owolabi - Olu Obafemi

2). Oba Oluwafemi Solaja - Olu Obada

3). Oba Taofeek Odusanya - Olu Idi Oke, Agbara

4). Oba Stephen Adekoya- Bejeroku Oke Agbo, Ago-Iwoye.

5). Oba Abdulfatayi Akorede Akamo - Olu Itori is to be installed as a Grand Patron & Chairman, Board of Patrons at a later date.

The event was described as a lavish one as there was more than enough to eat & drink.

Another highpoint of the occasion was the presentation of appointment letters to the appointees by the State PCRC Chairman while the Police Band thrilled people with good music.
