PCRC Directs Divisional Chairmen to have an Emergency Meeting With All Community Development Association (CDA), by Lamidi Obayomi



The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Adatan Royal Area Command has directed all the PCRC Divisional Chairmen to have an Emergency Meeting with all the Community Development Association (CDA's) in their respective Divisions most specially "YOUTHS" to be able to CALM their ANGER in view of the lingering crises rocking the town.


This was according to a statement by the Admin. Secretary, Adatan Royal Area Command, Abeokuta, Hon. Saheed Adenekan, on Friday.


Saheed said the Command’s directive was contained in a statement signed by the Chairman of the Command, Hon. Taiwo Akinlabi, dated October 23rd, 2020.


That Divisional Chairmen should appeal to the youths to stop blocking Roads, stop vandalising Government and individual Properties, Affirming that the State Government under the leadership of Prince Dapo Abiodun has zero tolerance for police brutality, the chairman assured that government is committed to ensuring that right of all person within the state are respected and protected by security agents.


Akinlabi then pleaded with the #EndSARS Protesters to give PEACE a CHANCE, that they should not join anyone or group to attempt to "burst" government or individual Properties rather they should give Government an Opportunity to address the situation on ground.


"Violence, be it on the part of the police or protesters can not be the solution. To the families of who have lost their loved ones, I express my sincere condolence, and i wish the injured a speedy recovery " said Hon. Akinlabi


All the Divisional Chairmen should report back to the Area Command on the outcome of their various meeting as soon as possible.
