‘OGUNDIGICLASS' a brilliant initiative Other State in Southwest Must Emulate - NANS


Prior to the suspension of educational activities by the government in oder to curtail the spread of the pandemic Coronavirus. The National Association of Nigerian Students, Southwest Zone (NANS Zone D) has applauded the Ogun State Government for her brilliant initiative of hosting a television class 'OGUNDIGICLASS' for students in primary and secondary schools across the state.

The association under the leadership of the South West Zone Coordinator, Comrade Kappo Samuel in a statement signed by the South West Zone Deputy Coordinator, Comrade Oladimeji Uthman also make a clarion call to other Southwestern states governments to emulate such good initiative.

The association stated further that the measure which was put in place by the Ogun State government is to cushion the effect of the indefinite break embarked upon as a result of ban to high density gathering in a measure to curtail the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic which already had negative effects on the academic of students at these educational levels is a welcome development.

They however epreess their assurance that with the initiative students in primary and secondary schools will no longer be idle in Ogun State. Adding that it will also serves as a means to show the technological advancement in the state.

However, The Deputy Coordinator of the Southwest Zone, Comrade Oladimeji Uthman implores the state government to ensure that power supply is made available and also be more stable at this time if the initiative must serve its major purpose.

Meanwhile, the association also urged parents and guardians to enjoin that appropriate measures are put in place to enable their wards benefit from this second-to-non initiative by making necessary provisions that will enable them access to the program at the time scheduled.
