Group Calls for Peace and Justice Over Imasayi Crisis.


The Imasayi Descendant Association in Diaspora has condole with the families of those that lost their lives during the incident between Joint Tasks Force and the indigenes of the Community and called for thorough investigation to deliver true, Swift and open Justice.

In a statement jointly signed by the President, Chief Dr Toye Moses and Secretary, Mr Tunde Elegbede, members of Imasayi Descendant Association in USA, EU and Canasda extends gratitude to the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, Senator Representing Ogun West, Tolu Odebiyi, the Olu and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle  as well as the State Commissioner of Police for their intervention in the crises which has returned peace to the town.

The Statement which appealed to law enforcement agencies not to intimidate or harass innocent citizens but instead conduct investigation so that anyone found responsible in the break down of law and in commiting the ultimate crime of homicide should be made to face the law.

The Association noted that Imasayi is a peaceful town that does not abhor criminals and they would not found sanctuary and refuge in the town.

The statement further sue for peace among the people and the Authorities  to respect human dignity and sanctity of lives of the Citizenry.
