Lions Club Inducts Obayori Spokesman, Akeem Akilo



.......... As Victoria Olusola Emerges 35th President


In a move to grow its membership base and vigorously pursue Lions year projects, Ijebu-Ode Lions Club, District 404/A1, Nigeria, on Sunday inducted new members; one of whom is Comrade Akeem Temitope Akilo, the Publicy Secretary of Egbe Obayori Okunrin Akile Ijebu "Kuye", with Comrade Akeem Abiodun Lasisi, both were members of the club.

In a bid of attestation, Lions members has united at home and in diaspora to put their experiences and knowledge to work, tackling most pressing challenges facing humanity.

The event, which held at the Legan Hall in Ijebu-Ode, witnessed the official presentation and investiture of Lion Victoria Olusola Job, NLCF, as the 35th President of Ijebu-Ode Lions Club, District 404/A1, Nigeria for  2019/2020 Year.

It's good to note that Lions focuses its efforts to eradicate blindness by preserving vision health and serving the blind and visually impaired, diabetes awareness and advocacy,  preventing diseases, assisting those in need, youths empowerment, improving basic education and literacy, bringing clean drinking water to remote areas among others.

The induction ceremony was graced by the ASUSS President Ogun State chapter, Comrade Akeem Abiodun Lasisi who doubles as the guest speaker of the said ceremony.

It's good to consider brief profile of Comrade Akeem Temitope Akilo; being an erstwhile student activist, Comrade Akilo, as fondly called disclosed that the induction is fulfilling, owing to the fact that he has been an advocate of humanitarian service. While in school as an undergraduate, he was a student activist and one of the student union leaders in Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye.

He was a member of "The Activists' Forum". "The Activists' Forum" is a Marxist Leninist based pressure group, an action-oriented and radically egalitarian organization comprising of dedicated, constructive intellectual and freedom fighters that are fighting for the emancipation and actualisation of students freedom on campus against all odds, be it oppression, exploitation, humiliation and intimidation.

Comrade Akilo, a social critics cum politician, he is a  patriotic Nigerian, radical and a team player and above all, a very religious muslim and God fearing Nigerian.

He was a former Administrative Officer, Ogun state PDP,  and as well as, Personal Assistant (P.A) to the Ogun state Chairman of the PDP,  Engr. Bayo Dayo.

Akilo has appointed as Project Manager to an NGO, PAM Foundation, (Prince Abdel-Majid Foundation), and currently, he is working with the Nigerian Railway Corporation.

He owns an NGOs known as, "Comrade Akilo Foundation" (CAF), and as well as, "Mandate Network For Human Right And Leadership Education" (MNHRLE).

In social circle, as a socialite, Comrade Akilo is involves in various progressive social activities. He is a member and the Publicity Secretary of Egbe Obayori Okunrin Akile Ijebu "Kuye", an Ijebu age grade with the royal proclamation by the Awujale of Ijebu land.

The egbe comprises of Ijebu sons born in the year 1977, 1978 and 1971. He is happily married and blessed with children.
