SOWUNMI TAKES PRESIDENT TINUBU's RE-ELECTION BID TO OGUN EAST

Another major political signal ahead of the 2027 general election emerged on Thursday 1st October 2027 as the Alternative Movement, a non political organisation taken the President Tinubu’s re-election bid to ogun east senatorial district of ogun state, urged members across the district to close ranks and work collectively to consolidate the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Convener of the movement, Otunba Segun Showunmi who lead the team to Ijebu-Igbo said the need for president Tinubu’s re-election based on his administration thst brought "renewed hope and visible progress" through investments in roads, agriculture, education and security. 

According to him, President Tinubu deserves the collective support of everyone, improved security has enabled farmers to return to their farms while businesses are gradually reopening.

He urged them to mobilise massively like never before across the entire district to support the re-election of the President that has brought us from doom to the dawn of a new era, that Tinubu’s reforms are laying the foundation for Nigeria's long-term prosperity. 

Otunba Showunmi also endorsed Governor Dapo Abiodun's Senatorial Ambition, acknowledged the weight of his leadership role, said his mandate will provide "purposeful direction" for the senatorial district.

The endorsement of Prince Dapo Abiodun and other APC candidates was met with applause and affirmation from the crowd at the event, whose many described as a necessary step towards maintaining stability within the party and ensuring continuity in leadership.

I came to beg them not only for the victory for the President but I want massimum available votes and there is know reason why the people of Ogun State will not numbers that can rival the people Kano or rival the people of Katsina or rival the people Kaduna. I also beg you to come out in huge numbers and produce the highest votes for mr President, we can not play trick for the senatorial election because the proximity to the business communityp0p to the President and to all the benefits that I can vouch for and most likely to ogun, it would be better carried by the candidature of the senatorial candidate of Governor Dapo Abiodun and I wish Hon. Adegbesan well, Showunmi said.
