A political promise must come with responsibility, transparency and a clear commitment to the people.
At the APM North-East Town Hall Meeting in Yola, Adamawa State, on October 10, 2026, our presidential candidate, Engr. Seyi Makinde, pledged to serve a single four-year term if elected President in 2027, describing his proposed administration as a transitional Government of National Unity. He also promised an inclusive approach to governance and a new direction for Nigeria.
This pledge raises an important question for every Nigerian: How do we measure leadership? Not by campaign speeches alone, but by policies, measurable results, responsible use of public resources and the willingness of leaders to answer to the people.
For APM, the RESET AGENDA must mean more than a slogan. It must represent a commitment to honest leadership, national unity, public accountability and practical solutions to the challenges confronting our country.
As we look towards 2027, Nigerians deserve a political culture where promises are taken seriously, public office is treated as a responsibility, and citizens have the right to demand results.
𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲.
The journey to 2027 should be a conversation about accountability, inclusion and the future Nigerians want to build together.
APM — NIGERIA FIRST.
RESET NIGERIA. REBUILD TRUST. RESTORE ACCOUNTABILITY.
