𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗔𝗖𝗞 𝗢𝗡 𝗣𝗗𝗣 𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗦: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗜𝗣𝗔𝗖 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁. 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗙𝗬𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗗.

It has come to my attention that a post is currently circulating on social media questioning why, 36 hours after the reported attack on a PDP gathering in Ogun State, IPAC Ogun has not come out to condemn the incident.

As Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Ogun State, I believe the public deserves to know the facts.

More importantly, the same political party has not been participating in the IPAC meetings where political parties are expected to come together, raise concerns, discuss issues and seek peaceful resolutions.

IPAC cannot responsibly issue a position on a matter that has not been formally brought before the Council by the party concerned, particularly when the facts surrounding an incident are still being established.

That said, 𝗜𝗣𝗔𝗖 𝗢𝗴𝘂𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺.

Our position remains simple: 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗜𝗣𝗔𝗖, 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝘂𝘀 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗳𝘂𝗹.

IPAC is an advisory platform open to political parties and stakeholders. Our responsibility is to encourage dialogue, peace and responsible political engagement before, during and after the 2027 general elections.

We therefore encourage every political party with a genuine complaint to approach the Council through the appropriate channel. Our doors remain open.
