FINAL RESOLUTION OF LEADERSHIP CRISIS..... NNPP HAILS JUDICIARY FOR UNBIASED JUDGEMENT

The National Headquarters of New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) in a statement signed by the National Secretary of the Party, Comrade Oginni Olaposi Sunday and made available to newsmen in Abuja shortly after the landmark judgement of Justice Kawu of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Apo, Abuja, lauded the unbiased posture of the Judiciary in the development of Democracy in Nigeria.

According to the statement by Comrade Oginni, " Today's judgement of FCT High Court by Justice Kawu has finally put to rest the leadership turssles in New Nigeria People's Party. The reaffirmation of Dr. Agbo Major led National Executives as the authentic National Leaders of the party by a compelling order to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognize and upload the National Executives loyal to the Founder of NNPP, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam is a watershed".

The statement further assured Nigerians to continue to have faith in the Judiciary as the last hope of a common man. In his words " The attempts of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and his expelled group led by one Dr. Ajuji to highjack the structures of New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) from the original owner today ended in catastrophic jeopardy. It is on record that, Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam in 2022 benevolently gave Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso the golden opportunity to contest for President on the platform of the party without a dime. It is highly unfortunate that Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso out of greediness and selfishness attempted to steal the intellectual property of Dr Boniface Aniebonam by his fruitless efforts to highjack the structures of the party by changing the logo and colours of NNPP with the collusion of some unscrupulous elements in INEC.

Consequently, in the desperate efforts of  Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to highjack the party, a legitimate Congresses and Convention that Produced Dr Agbo Gilbert Major as the National Chairman and Comrade Oginni Olaposi Sunday as the National Secretary of New Nigeria People's Party as initiated by Dr. Boniface Aniebonam the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees was challenged at the Federal Capital Territory High Court Abuja by Dr.Ajuji and his expelled group of Kwankwaso. However, in a landmark judgement delivered by His Lordship Justice M.A.Hassan on the 4th of April, 2025, the Suit initiated by Kwankwaso through Dr. Ajuji expelled group was dismissed. The import of the judgement automatically confers legitimacy on the National Convention and Congresses initiated by Dr Boniface Aniebonam led Board of Trustees that Produced Dr Agbo Major as the National Chairman and Comrade Oginni Olaposi Sunday as the National Secretary as the judgement creditors while Kwankwaso and his expelled group became the judgement debtors.

Realizing  the failures of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to comply with the FCT High Court Abuja judgement by its refusal to upload the Agbo Major led Executives on INEC Portal, the Dr. Aniebonam led Board of Trustees of New Nigeria People's Party returned to the FCT High Court Abuja for Judicial review of the earlier judgement with a compelling order to Independent National Electoral Commission INEC to recognize and upload Dr Agbo Major led National Working Committee with immediate effect.

To the glory of God and development of Democracy in Nigeria, a judgement with a compelling order to Independent National Electoral Commission INEC was delivered by His Lordship Justice Kawu today 17th Day of March, 2026.
