RAMADAN KAREEM: SEGUN SHOWUNMI EXTENDS RAMADAN GREETINGS TO THE PEOPLE OF OGUN AND NIGERIANS AT LARGE

Ramadan Prayer 2026

O You who ordained fasting upon mankind, as You ordained it upon those before us, we have commenced this fast in Your Name seeking nearness to You, seeking purification, and seeking Your mercy.

O Allah, You are the Hearer of supplication, the Knower of what rests in every heart. We stand before You in humility and hope. Accept our fasting, our prayers, our charity, and our repentance.

O Allah, the condition of our country, Nigeria, lies open before You. You are fully aware of our struggles, our fears, and our aspirations. Ease our national affairs. Guide our leaders toward justice, wisdom, and restraint. Protect our land from division and corruption.

Send us sufficient and beneficial rain, rain that brings fertile soil, abundant harvests, and relief to our farmers. Bless the work of our hands and make our resources a means of prosperity, not conflict.

Grant us victory over insurgency and insecurity. Restore peace to troubled communities. Protect the vulnerable, comfort the grieving, and strengthen those who defend the innocent. Our people have endured hardship, yet You have promised in Your Book that with hardship comes ease. O Allah, bring that ease now. Let relief descend swiftly and decisively.

Grant our individual prayers and our collective petitions. Forgive our shortcomings, rectify our affairs, and unite our hearts upon righteousness.

O Ever-Living, Ever-Sustaining, You are sufficient as Disposer of affairs. We entrust to You the leadership of our nation, including our President. Guide him toward what is just and beneficial. Restrain him from error. Make him an instrument of good for the people and accountability before You.

Let all matters unfold for our ultimate good in this world and the Hereafter, Lord of all the worlds.

Ramadan Mubarak to the Muslim Ummah.

May this month be one of renewal, discipline, mercy, and answered prayers. Ameen
