"We Must Join Hands Together to Rescue Our Society From The Clutches of People", Toyin Amuzu Urges Lions Club Members, Donates #1 Million at Fundraising Luncheon.

Chief Toyin Amuzu has called on members of the Abeokuta Lions Club and other non-governmental organisations to get actively involved in politics, stressing the need for credible people to be elected into positions of authority in order to build a better society.

Amuzu, who was represented at the Public Presentation and Fund Raising Luncheon of the Abeokuta Lions Club on Saturday, backed his words with action by donating the sum of ₦1 million in support of the club’s humanitarian service.

The event, held at the Abeokuta Lions Club Vocational Centre, Agbena Community, Adjacent Mapoly Gate, featured the public presentation of Lion Olatunbosun Adeleye NLCF as the 45th President (2025/2026 Lions Service Year) and the installation of other club officers.

In his message, Chief Amuzu praised the club for its community-driven projects, especially the donation of a transformer to three communities, which he described as a testament to the Lions’ commitment to service.

According to him, "we do not have another society. All hands must be on deck, we must rescue our society from the clutches of people plundering our resources without anything to show.

“We must take our destinies into our own hands by ensuring that only credible people are elected into political positions. That is the surest way to build a society that works for all,” he charged.

"As for me, I am always available anywhere positivity is the watchword ".

The Asiwaju-Leragun Egba, also prayed for the success of Lion Olatunbosun Adeleye and his executive members, wishing them wisdom and strength as they steer the affairs of the club in the new service year.

The occasion drew dignitaries, philanthropists and well-wishers, all of whom pledged support for the Abeokuta Lions Club’s humanitarian vision.
