Again, Abeokuta South Councillorship Oluwapelumi Coker Re-Sign From PDP
OFFICIAL STATEMENT OF MY RESIGNATION FROM THE PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP)
To my dear Leaders, friends and supporters,
I have decided, after extensive consultations with my leaders and team to resign effective today my membership of the People's Democratic Party (PDP).
It's stated in the Bible in Mark 3:25, which states in the King James Version: "And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand." The above Bible verse captures the current state of the party both at the National level and state level here in Ogun state. The party has consistently shown that it's not a serious party and definitely not the party that can take our beloved country and our dear Ogun state to the next level. The party in Ogun state has failed to rise to it position as a worthy opposition in the state, the party has consistently failed to prioritize the development of it members across all levels.
I appreciate the party for giving me the opportunity to be it's flag bearer as the candidate for the Abeokuta south ward 1 councilorship at the just concluded Ogun state local government elections, an opportunity I will forever cherish. I have concluded that if I must grow politically and as an individual, I must leave the party.
In due time, I, on behalf of the the Ominira Odo Youth Vanguard will announce our new political home where we will with you by our side journey to a prosperous Ogun state and Nigeria at large.
