PCRC CHAIRMAN CHARGES PCRC MEMBERS TO RISE WITH RENEWED DEDICATION

On the Commencement of the 2025 Ogun State PCRC Week Activities – Code-named "OBANTA 2025"

Distinguished members of the Ogun State Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC),

I bring you warm greetings and profound appreciation for your unwavering commitment to the ideals of community policing and the collective pursuit of a safer and more peaceful Ogun State.

As we officially flag off the 2025 Ogun State PCRC Week, code-named OBANTA 2025 with a Jumaat service on Friday 1st August, 2025, I charge every one of us to rise with renewed dedication, passion, and purpose. The name OBANTA—symbolic of one of our heritages, unity, and leadership—reminds us of our deep-rooted responsibility to build bridges between the police and the people, and to foster trust, accountability, and collaboration in all we do.

This week is not just a celebration; it is a call to action at all levels of Pcrc in the state.

Let us seize this moment to reflect on our past achievements as a shining light of Pcrc ideals in the Nation, re-evaluate our strategies, and re-ignite the fire of community engagement across all Area Commands, Divisions, and Units of our great State.

Let OBANTA 2025 mark a turning point—a reawakening of our commitment to:

Strengthen grassroots policing initiatives,

Deepen community trust in security agencies,

Empower our youths and women through awareness and inclusion and promote peace, vigilance, and responsibility in our neighborhoods.

Let our actions this week echo throughout the State—loud and clear—that the Ogun State PCRC is not just an organization but a movement for safety, unity, and progress.

I urge every member to participate actively in lined-up activities with pride, discipline, and a spirit of service. 

Remember, our collective effort is the strength of the PCRC. 

When we work together, we not only complement the work of the police, but we also build a legacy of hope and safety for generations to come.

I commend the State Executive Committee, the various units, division and Area Commands' leaderships, and all our patriotic members for your selfless service. May OBANTA 2025 shine as a beacon of progress, peace, and partnership.
