High Chief Lai Labode, the new Balogun Ijaye-Egba in Abeokuta South local government Area of Ogun State was a testimony of dedication, intellect and love for the people of ijaye kunmi.

His ascension to the seat of BALOGUN Ijaye-Egba was a testament to his "remarkable life and times" encompassing his abiding love for ijaye community. His breadth of intellect and his openness of mind and heart.

Elaboration: Dedication and Love for Ijaye-Egba:

Balogun's dedication to Ijaye-Egba and its people was evident of his contributions to the development of the community and Egbaland.

INTELLECT AND OPENNESS: He was known for his intellectual depth and willingness to embrace new ideas.

A LEADER OF CHARACTER: Balogun was recognized as a leader of high character and integrity. Contributions to the Development of Ijaye Community: He served in both the public and private sectors, and even represented the Egbas in many activities, showcasing his commitment to the development of Ijaye, Egbaland and Ogun State in general.

A NOTABLE  FIGURE:

His installation as BALOGUN of Ijaye land in Abeokuta will be a significant event on the 15th June 2025 at Idi Ape, Isale-Abese, Ago-Ijaye, Abeokuta, Ogun State, with dignitaries congratulating him on his ascension.

WHO IS HI CHIEF LAI LABODE:

High Chief Lai Labode is the current OSI APAGUN of Egbaland and Convener and initiator of Egbaliganza, A group celebrating the spirit of Egba Nobility.

Egbaliganza, inspired by High Chief Lai Labode, the OSI APAGUN POTE Egbaland to unites High Chiefs, Princes, Princesses, and Egba leaders in a Vibrant display of unity and Cultural pride.

MISSION OF EGBALIGANZA: To preserve, celebrate and elevate the rich heritage of the Egba people through a cultural experience that bridges the past and the present.

VISION OF EGBALIGANZA: To establish Egbaliganza as a beacon of African heritage and pride.

His father is the Baaroyin of Egbaland in his life time.
