PATRIOTIC PEOPLE DO NOT DESTROY THEIR COUNTRY IN WORDS OR WRITING, Dr. Gbenga Adeoye.

 

I remember a proverb that says if you rubbish your household, nobody will help you commend or praise them. ( Ta ba ta ara ile eni lopo, koseni to ma a ba wa ra lowon)

Another proverb says not  every clothes you dry under the sun.( gbogbo aso ko la nsa loorun..

Some matters are internal.. not for public..when you write or speak outside ..mind what you say about Nigeria.

I have seen a lot of videos on social media from young and sometimes old people, speaking very negative about Nigeria as if there is nothing good about the country.

Some even call this greatly blessed country a jungle.

Few days ago , I had a meeting at Victoria Island in Lagos and I behold again and gave thanks to God for my dear country.

Whenever I'm in Abeokuta ..my beloved town, I always thank God.

What about Abuja, many good things in the FCT. Wike is doing a lot on roads there .

Before you destroy our country and great men that have made us proud , answer these questions:

1. Was it in this same country you were born.? 

2. Was it here you had primary education, high school and higher institutions?

3. You built house here?

4. You got married here?

5. You bought your first car here and may be many more after ?

6. This same country you have houses and you get rent ?

7. This same country, you get your daily bread.?

8. This same country you could use Naira to buy dollar and travel for holidays overseas?

9. This same country, you could send your children to study either in private Universities or even abroad?

10. This same country, every Saturday ..we always have beautiful parties ?

11. You are always well dressed here ? 

12. If you have any need today, you have 2 or 3 people that could raise millions for you.?

13. This same country, you served in government?

14. This same country you achieved a lot.?

15. You have  houses in major cities in Nigeria ?

16. You have reasons to dance?

17. You have food to eat despite all the issues ?

18. You enjoy this weather ? Not like Canada where cold penetrate their bones.?

19. You are highly connected.?

20. You are proud to have gone to schools in Nigeria.? UNILAG, UI, OAU, OSU/OOU, OGUNPOLY/ MAPOLY, LASU, UNILORIN,  ABU, YABATECH, IBADAN POLY, FUTA, UNIBEN, UNIJOS, EKPOMA, FCE OSIELE, FCE AKOKA, BABCOCK, CALEB, CU, THE BELLS, REDEEMER, MOUNTAIN TOP, ADELEKE UNIVERSITY, OYE EKITI ? ABUAD?

21. If not you directky , your child or children or family member went to one of those schools ?

22. You can move with Uber or Bolt?

23. You have mobile phone ?

24. You have freedom to get into Nigeria  and go out.( Go and ask them at North Korea)

25. You have freedom of religion , movement and so on.?

26. At least we can still advise government and they are responding with reforms.?

27. You still travel via trains from Ibadan to Abeokuta and Lagos?

28. Within Nigeria, you can travel with buses ..?

29. If you need food, you can order especially in Lagos .?

30. Most of your health care need can be sorted here ?

31. Now we even have health insurance ?

32. You have tax reforms that will help start ups ?That will also exempt poor people ? 

33. Our political system is evolving ?

34. Local Government will eventually have full autonomy ?

35. Students can get loans ? 

36. You own a business and you are creating jobs here?

Why would you destroy this wonderful land with your mouths and in writing .?

Let us keep speaking about the good of the land.

Be patriotic and don't destroy your country.

Don't destroy our banking system, judiciary and religious bodies with your mouth.

This is a blessed country.

Don't join those who derive pleasure in speaking evil about the country; be it about Judiciary, legal profession, Accounting Profession, Tax Practice, Medical Practice and Real Estate among others.

Many things are good here.

This is a good land.

A country of men and women full of hope.

A country of happy people.
