Irepolere Ogunji Area CDC Celebrate Community Day in Grand Style.

•••••• Installs Patrons, Patroness. Explains Contributions To Community Development.

Today Tuesday, 17th of December, 2024 was indeed a great and joyous day for the good people of Irepolere Ogunji Area Community Development Committee, Odeda local government as they all appeared in gorgeous and attractive attires to celebrate their annual Community Day.

The Area CDC Chairmanship, Chief Mrs M. M. Adeoti (Mama Africa) in her welcome address titled “There is hope” said the aim of the programme is to appreciate Almighty God for His faithfulness and sustenance as people.

Part of her speech reads: “The title of this address is there is hope because within these One year, we have experienced a lot of discouraging circumstances, attitudes and utterances across ages and status or class with such common statements as; what are we gaining by coming together as CDA, especially CDC, they even see active community members as jobless and working for what to eat.

But on the contrary, I want to assure all that gather here today that there is hope and the strength is in our unity for the purpose of making our community comfortable, not just for ourselves now but for generations to come.”

Comrade Emmanuel Igbagbodoyin Iyasere, who is also the Odeda CDC Zonal Chairman also gave instances to prove that there is hope. “Few instances of hope already; that within  One (1) year ago, their main project was lightning the hole communities when they came on board, to the glory of God, with their push and intervention of people that matters, 500 KVA transformer is ready for use wholly sponsored by the community.

“At this point, I want to specially appreciate the support of our own local government Executive Chairman, Hon. Dr. Folasade Adeyemo for making these project a reality. We wish you more success in your future political career.

In his own remark, the Chairman Ilupeju Obantoko Area CDC (Mother of Irepolere Ogunji Area CDC), Comrade Dimeji Kehinde noted that irepolere Ogunji Area CDC since the inauguration of it's current executives has upheld inclusive leadership for sustainable development to impact on the people of Irepolere Ogunji Area CDC.

He noted that through concerted efforts, they have achieved much through synergy with other stakeholders which he said is critical to Community Development.

The event also witness installation of Chief Micheal Soretire as Patron also Alhaji Olanrawaju Sheu Adebayo as Patron while Chief Mrs Florence Mojisola Oni Quadri, the CEO Oni Electronics and Ibuso Aje Egbaland as Life Patroness.

According to the her, the Life Patroness, on behalf of other Awardees, Chief Mrs Florence Mojisola Oni Quadri, promised to contribute more towards the progress of Irepolere Ogunji Area CDC, as according to them the reward for hard work is more work, adding that the hole communities under Irepolere Ogunji Area CDC will continue to maintain unity and peace among its fold.

While delivered her speech, the Executive Chairman Odeda local government, Hon. Dr. Folasade Adeyemo, PhD said she is happy to see his people re-unite themselves and as the current executives chairman of the local government, she will do all necessary to make sure other communities unite like this

“The programme create awareness for those people who have not actively involved in this community. When they see us gather like this every year, it will give them hope that there is something that is happening in the community, it will give them hope that they are going to contribute to the development of the community, it will give them that encouragement that we can still work together and gather resources together to do what we can do to develop our environment, Hon. Adeyemo asserted.”

She then advise members of the community to always cooperate and contribute their quota to community development. “The people should cooperate to use our resources physically, financially and everything that we have to develop our environment in terms of road to make sure that the road is good, in terms of security, to provide enough security for all of us and to make our environment very decent place for us to live in, She added.”

Irepolere Ogunji Area Community Development Committee is one of the Area CDCs in Odeda Local Government Area of Ogun State, separated from Ilupeju Obantoko Area CDC One year ago.
