OGUN STATE COUNCIL OF RATTAWU FELICITATE STAKEHOLDERS ON WORLD TELEVISION DAY 📺 📺 📺 📺 📺



Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU),  Ogun State council has  joined the global community in commemorating World Television Day 2024, The union however extends its warm regards to all members and practitioners in the media and entertainment industry.


This year's World Television Day theme, "Shaping the Future Through Media," reminds us of the powerful role television continues to play in shaping narratives, educating societies, and connecting people across diverse cultures. From informing the public on critical matters to entertaining and preserving our rich cultural heritage, television remains an indispensable medium in advancing development and unity.


The release signed by the chairman comrade Idowu Rotimi and secretary comrade Bisola Oludotun indicate that Ogun RATTAWU  is proud to recognize the dedication and creativity of our members who work tirelessly to uphold the values of truth, professionalism, and innovation in their various capacities. T he statement reads " Our commitment has not only kept the wheels of the media industry turning but has also contributed significantly to nation-building.

As we celebrate this important day, we urge all media practitioners to reflect on our collective responsibility to promote positive change and uphold ethical standards in our broadcasts. It is vital that we continue to use television as a tool for fostering peace, education, and inclusivity

We also take this opportunity to appreciate all stakeholders, including government agencies most especially our own Nigeria television Authority, NTA and state owned Ogun state television, OGTV,  media organizations, and other civil society groups, for their unwavering support of the media sector.

According to the statement, the chairman implored the people to  continue to champion excellence and innovation in television production and broadcasting as we celebrate our collective achievements and pave the way for a brighter future in the media landscape.
