TRIBUTES TO BIQ FROM HIS LEARNED COLLEAGUES AND HONOURABLES (YAYI CAUCUS 7202)

Today, we gathered to celebrate the life and legacy of quintessential who left us on the journey of life:

Babatunde Ishola Quasim

BIQ was a professional per excellence with an eye for details, i remember when he picked up the challenge of studying Law and started from 100 level in Unilag.

He was able to weather the storm, left Unilag for Lagos Law school and was called to the Nigerian Bar despite his tight schedules & responsibilities. A feat which many young minds cannot attain. Your memory will leave on through the countless lives you have touched through your tutorial colleges and projects you facilitated. Your contributions to ifako ijaiye stakeholders were invaluable and your absence will be deeply felt. Rest in Peace. Quasim

BIQ: A DIRGE AND AN ELEGY?

What should I render to our dear late brother, friend, and political associate, Babatunde Ishola

Quazzim Rajh-Label?

Is it a dirge? Or, an elegy?

Does his death diminish us?

Does it sadden us?

Since the unfortunate incident

It has been tears, grief and gnashing, and teeth

It has been sorrow and lamentations It has been wailing, pain, and sadness

For the nature of his death

For the age that he left

What a mishap!

What a disaster!!

What a cataclysm!!!

It must be a dirge

But for the life he lived

For the hearts he healed

For the people he built

It must be an elegy

Since it happened.

A torrent of testaments has poured in

To celebrate his accomplishments What we owe him is therefore

An admixtures of dirge and elegy Adieu, BIQ

The world mourns you

Humanity celebrates you

May Allah SWT forgive your sins, expand your grave, and grant you aljanah fridaus.

Aaaaamin

When things like this happen, it puts everything else into perspective. Hon (Barr.) BIQ Rajh Label was only 56, which is tragically young. He was a giant in Ifako- Ijaiye and Lagos West Senatorial politics.

In an era where people are quite cynical and suspicious of politicians, often thinking we are out of touch, he was someone who really had the common touch. BIQ was principled and brave, but he also had a unique way of connecting with people. I was always impressed by his personal bravery; as the leader of the Atayese group and a friend to many, including the Royal Alliance, Hope Alive Ajumose, DD, Mandate, and Justice Forum, he was remarkable.

Many current and former members of the cabinet at the local government, state, and federal levels have been remembering BIQ

for his sense of humor, humanity, selfless service, and dedication to welfarism. He was truly a man of the people. During the last administration, as his councillor, he played a brotherly and elder role both in and out of government. I will forever miss him.

Ishola, keep resting in the bosom of your creator. You came, saw, and conquered.

DAVID ADEBOYE OLANIYI

IMMEDIATE PAST COUNCILLOR OF WARD C2, IFAKO LJAIYE.

31st of May was indeed a Black Friday in the history of Ifako-ljaiye Local Government Area.

We lost you BIQ!

What a Loss!

What a Shock!

My learned Aburo, as I fondly called you, your death was a shock to all and sundry.

You left a vacuum in my heart.

 Can I question God ?

No, because He knows best. He gives and He takes.

May you find favour as you embark on your second journey.

May God grant you eternal rest.

Your Deeds on earth to humanity will not be forgotten.

Sleep well, my brother.

Good Night.

What is peculiar about BIQ is when you meet him for the very first time his ability to hibernate the multifaceted greatness in him featuring only his fair complexion and a soft smile with great humility... That is BIQ

He is an embodiment of strategic political concepts... A quintessential humanitarian... A devoted Muslim... A passionate Family Man... A lover of Almighty Allah... A Legal Luminary... A prolific speaker... A democrat of Substance.

BIQ GONE???

It's really very difficult to believe that our own Babatunde Ishola Quassim Rajh-Label is deceased.

...but can we query God? No, we can't query our All-knowing God.

BIQ has gone home to rest in the bossom of The Lord, but you will live in our hearts forever!

Sleep on our Beloved Compatriot

HON. TOBA OKE

In memory of a leader like no other, bold and bright, rugged and dogged.

You are but the sunshine, that brightens our darkness and illuminates our minds. How come the sun sets at noon, will our solar ever be charged?

BIQ Rajh-Label! You are a beacon of light Our zeal and drive through the tunnel,

But here we are at the end of the tunnel but the light is gone. Never to be seen again forever.

Where is that leader who will match you political prowess, so refined, But in our hearts and minds, your legacy enshrined.

Lost to the cold hands of death without shiver,

Yet your teachings and wisdom forever stay.

You led with grace, with intellect profound,

In every challenge, solutions you found.

From family to associates and stranger beyond, you were but a companion in truth and indeed

your solace unequal your guide unbeatable.

With benevolence, you stood by our sides. Avacuum left, impossible to fill, Your memory echoes, a lasting thrill.

The "B" is gone!

The "I" is gone!

The "Q" is gone!

BIQ is gone.

Though gone from sight, your spirit lives

In every victory, your legacy shone.

BIQ Rajh-Label, forever missed,

In our hearts, your presence persist.

Your legacy we spread, your teachings we uphold,

We will not quiver

And neither shall we shiver.

The foundation you laid, on it, a mansion we shall build even with the last drop of our very blood.

Adieu to you, Leader like no other.
