WORKERS DAY: NO UNION WOULD PROSPER WITHOUT EMBRACING PEACE AND UNITY, SAYS RATTAWU VICE PRESIDENT AS OGUN CHAPTER ORGANIZED A DAY RETREAT FOR MEMBERS.

The Vice president, South West, Radio, Television, Theatre and Art Workers Union of Nigeria, RATTAWU, comrade Dare Durosimi stated this at a day retreat put together by RATTAWU, ogun State chapter, held at its secretariat, Quarry road, Abeokuta to commemorate this year's workers day.

Comrade Durosimi who stressed the need for unionists to adopt  a development unionism urged them to always embrace peaceful approach to press home for their demand to promote harmonious relationship between workers and their employers 


He advised RATTAWU members to ensure cordial relationship among themselves stressing that no Union would prosper without embracing peace and unity.


Earlier, the chairman, RATTAWU, Ogun State  council ,Comrade Idowu Rotimi who explained that the essence of the retreat was to strengthen the strategic role of workers through skills  development expressed appreciation to members for their supports.


In their submission, the senior comrades in attendance, com Seye Adeyemo, com Debo Akinwunmi, com  Oladipo Musulumi and com Sunday Adeyemi appealed to the members to harness every opportunities in lifting the union to enviable position.


Some participants at the event including the South West organizing secretary of RATTAWU Comrade Gbenga Olasupo and other Ogun state chapter chairmen commended the organizers for the resourceful programme with a call for more to improve the skills of the members


Highlight of the event was the presentation of award to the vice president south west, RATTAWU, comrade Dare Durosinmi.
