Amusan gave this assertion in a chat with Newsmen at the Secretariat Club Friday night Special hosted by him.

The property merchant alluded that President Tinubu is doing everything to put the economy back on track after a long period of rot from previous administrations.

He said “the economy situation isn’t a one day affair or one year affair, it has been from inception, we all know the antecedent of our former president, what transpired when he was there, so it’s the carry over”.

“I can tell you that President Bola Tinubu is trying his best, but there is no how he will do it that it won’t reflect on us Nigerians, we must payback the price. I have been saying this a very long time, that we’re running an artificial economy, artificial economy in the sense that the take home doesn’t match the expectation. How do you expect someone that get a salary of fifty-thousand naira, he’ll take transportation, feed the family, pay house rent, how do you want him to cope?”

“It’s a very difficult task, we still have to bear these consequences for a while, it’s not the fault of the president but what he met on the table, and he’s trying his best, if by the value of what he met there, if is somebody that doesn’t have the wherewithal to manage the economy situation, I’m sure Nigeria would have collapsed, he’s really trying his best”.

On the expectation of Nigerians for the next three years under the Tinubu’s administration, the former federal lawmaker affirmed that the populace should be hopeful that the president will take Nigeria to a better place.

On the essence of hosting the Secretariat Club Friday Special Night, he alluded that as a pioneer member of the club hosting the event was to socialize with members, interacts on business and appreciate one another.

Hon Amusan also praised the new President of the Club, Otunba Ayo Randle for his ideology and ability to move the club forward, noted that he has brought the experience of the successes achieved in Ikeja Club to the Secretariat Club where he has already brought in so many new influential personalities to the club.

On the club president’s birthday Hon Amusan stated that “when I met Chief Randle, he looked very unassuming, I never expected all the ideology he has been practicing, when you look at him you may underrate him, but he’s a man of action, when I get closer to him and he started inviting me to Ikeja Club when he was presiding as the club’s president, that was when I knew the kind of person he’s”.

He is a smart person and a performer. I see him taking Secretariat Club to a greater height” he asserted in conclusion.
