NDLEA APPOINTMENTS SCOUT OFFICIAL AS WAR AGAINST DRUG ABUSE ADVOCATE

  


The national drug law enforcement agency NDLEA has appointed a leader trainer of the scout association of Nigeria Ap Dr Tola Adenekan as a advocate in the war against drug abuse.

The Ogun state Commandant of the agency Mrs Ibibia Odili decorated Dr Tola Adenekan in Abeokuta at a basic training course for scout leaders held at the ogun state scout headquarters Ita-iyalode Abeokuta. According to Mrs Odili eminent personalities who are role models to the youth were identified and enlisted as advocates of the drug abuse war towards curbing the menace which is affecting national socio economic development.

Addressing the course participants on consequences of drug abuse and reduction strategies,the NDLEA boss called on scouters to join in the sensitisation of the youth to shun drug abuse in other to achieve their goal in life.

Mrs Odili informs that engaging in drug abuse and addiction destroy the victim,their family and make them become menace to the society. Earlier in his welcome address, Dr Tola Adenekan who is the course director noted that campaign against drug abuse is part of social impact strategy of the word organisation of the scout movement and assured that the scout association of Nigeria will continue to partner with NDLEA in his programming.
