FINALLY, DATE FIXED TO HOLD ARADOKUN DAY 2022.



As we are all know that Covid-19 pandemic is behind the closure of the Celebration of the yearly Aradokun day which comes to an end last year 2021.


The Chairman and his committee members in Support of the Kabiyesi and his chiefs after different suggestions unanimously picked 12th of November 2022 to hold this year Aradokun day.


The Chairman planning committee, Mr Akeem Bankole assured Sawonjo Son and Daughter of Sawonjo that by the special Grace of God, this year Aradokun day celebration will hold against the one we have been planning before but we must join hands together to realize our dreams.


The Committee also unanimously agreed that each family will contribute twenty thousand naira only (#20,000) to support the celebration and we should all make any steps and efforts to reach out to who and who that have all what it take to assist us.


Other activities slated to hold in commemoration of this year Aradokun day celebration are as follows

Education Summit, Cultural Events, Sport, Health Care from Monday 7th November, 2022 to Thursday 10th November 2022 while Olokisi night will hold on the 11th November 2022. The Grand finale will hold on the 12th of November 2022 from 9am till 7pm at Sawonjo Community town hall, Sawonjo while Efe night will hold at ita Nla till Sunday Morning of 13th November 2022. All clubs, Societies, families are to be seated at 8am with his royal majesty Oba Ayinde Oderinde as the royal father of the day.


Another part of activities line up is that each family will be given colour of their T-shirt with their family names written at the back of the said T-shirt.


Earlier, in his remarks, Mr Yisa Obayomi urged all the committee and Sub-committe members and also the entire Son and Daughter of Sawonjo to wake up and join hands together to make sure this year Aradokun day come to pass.


Mr Obayomi said that every Son and Daughter outside the town should come home immense to celebrate this year Aradokun day for the benefit and development of Sawonjo.
