IG ADVISES FORMATION COMMANDERS & COMMISSIONERS OF POLICE TO PARTNER WITH COMMUNITY LEADERS FOR MORE RESULTS.



The Inspector General of Police, Alkali Baba has tasked Formation Commanders & Commissioners of Police, to partner with community leaders, for more positive yields.

This will facilitate more credible intelligence gathering, which will ultimately yield more positive results.

This was disclosed by the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CR Lanre Sikiru Bankole.

It was at a sendforth for the retiring former SARS Commander in Ogun State, CSP Mohammed Tijani.

CP Bankole gave accolades to the PCRC Ogun Command, saying its activities endear him more to the committee.

The National PCRC Chairman, Ambassador Farouk Meyama, speaking through the National Vice Chairman, South West, Alhaji Ibraheem Olaniyan assured the Police that their performances are being watched & rated hence PCRC will do more for deserving committed officers.

The Ogun State PCRC Chairman, High Chief Samson Kunle Popoola (JP), assured  the Police of its commitment to the partnership between the two organisations..

According to him, the retiring officer has distinguished himself in his service to humanity and the nation.

The sendforth, was witnessed by many top Police Officers within and outside Ogun State, traditional rulers, members of PCRC in both the state and the divisions that CSP Tijani had served.

The former SARS Commander had earlier served as DPO, Obada Oko & old Ogijo, which now includes Sotubo, Igode & Ogijo divisions.

The highpoint of today's celebration was the dedication & adoption of a 4 year old baby girl that was adopted by a PCRC member, when the baby was abandoned from birth, till date.

The Ogun State PCRC Chairman, announced and pledged that the state command of PCRC will take up her education to any level.

High Chief Popoola assured that weather he is the state Chairman or not, PCRC, being a continuum will be responsible for the girls upkeep & training.

 Gifts were presented to the retiring Police officer by individuals,  Ogun PCRC, & PCRC from all the divisions he had served prior to his bowing out of service.

Many serving DPOs attended the lavish sendforth, where there was more than enough to eat & drink.

In the appreciation & thank you message of the retiring officer, CSP Mohammed Tijani confessed that he was short of words @ the elaborate sendforth, a brainchild of PCRC in all ramifications.

He said he was eternally indebted to Ogun PCRC for the honour done him.

A sendforth cake was cut to commemorate the occasion, while the Police Band was on hand to spice up the occasion.

From PCRC Ogun Command, we say happy retirement to CSP Mohammed Tijani, a.k.a. Shehu.
