As we forge ahead towards the party's primary elections, it behoves on us, as loyalists of the People's Democratic Party, (PDP) to be circumspect, without emotional sentiments, in deciding who leads our great party at Green Chamber as the Member House of Representatives.

Of course, as a party that believes in democratic principles, the opportunity to contest for positions in the party is available for all who qualify to contest.

However, being qualified for a position is not tantamount to being productive in that capacity. This is not to undermine anybody's competence but to reinforce the idea that, as a party, we must not allow petty sentiments shift our perspectives from the reality.

Let us not be quick to forget the storms and the turmoil the party went through as opposition and how we got to where we are today.

Beyond the challenges of the past, we are even faced with a more challenging task.

Let us not cuddle ourselves and pretend as if every candidate can lead the party beyond the 4-year cycle.

Hoping that Otunba Wale Soyode FCA as our candidate can lead our great party to win at the general elections.

And let us remember that hope and wishful thinking are not strategies. This is why must be more concerned about maintaining Grassroots Man like OTUNBA WALE SOYODE FCA who have garnered election-winning experiences and has a track record for winning the primary election.

Dear PDP Delegates of Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency, let's give the ticket to whom the cap fits.

This is not the time for "Try me" slogans.
