Easter message 2022: Let's Live in Peace And Harmony, Segun Showunmi Urges Christians ~ Abamiedaablog

Happy Easter to us all. As I reflect on the meaning of the resurrection story and the redemptive hope it brings to all mankind I find myself greatly burdened by the unabated killings and gruesome murders in our country one of which  took place days ago of INEC staff in Imo, I couldn’t believe that our people will kill our people in such cold-blooded execution-style that has left me numb. It is so unacceptable, reprehensible and stands condemned. 

The story is the same everywhere you turn, from the difficulty of managing terrorist attacks within the northern part of our country right down to cult killings in the southwest, especially in Ogun state. 

I was drawn to pray, that the promise of the comforter yea the same Holy Spirit cause a turnaround in our country and redeem our nation from the guilt of innocent blood needlessly shed. 

I encourage us all to live in peace and harmony for not much can be achieved by way of development in the face of self-inflicted insecurity. 

I encourage those with the responsibility to secure lives and properties to spare no effort in bringing to a halt the barbarity but a firm and resolute determination. 

All hope is not lost as luckily soon again we all will be called upon to do our civic duties to choose a new set of leaders, we must not waste the franchise, we must look properly at the issues and the people who wish to take on the burden of leadership asking the right questions and doing all within our power to participate. 

We are in dire need of a new deal, we must not allow the chance to slip by.
