2022 International Mother Language Day: Apostle Biodun Sanyaolu (ABS) Urges Parents to Instill Cultural Values in their Children ~ Abamiedaablog.

Parents in Ogun State, particularly Ogun Central Senatorial District have been admonished to espouse their children to the ethics, ethos and pathos of the Yoruba Culture with great predilections for the mother tongue.

This submission was contained in a Press Statement released from the Media Office of Apostle Biodun Sanyaolu (ABS) in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.

The APC Chieftain and the Assistant General Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) advocated that people should learn to love, honour, obey and respect their culture. He commended the Ogun State Ministry of Education, under *His Excellency, Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun MFR* that has necessitated the wearing of native attires to Primary & Secondary Schools in Ogun State, tagged YORUBA DAY every 21st of February to commemorate the day. He further enjoined parents, who are the primordial teachers to jettison the idea of communicating with their children solely in foreign languages noting that culture is the total repertoire of the people.

Apostle Biodun Sanyaolu (ABS) stressed further that native intelligence and cultural awareness superimpose over all other forms of formal Education while submitting that no great nation is ever built by people who do not cherish their native language and cultural heritages.

The International Mother Language Day is a day set aside by the United Nations and it's commemorated on every 21st of February yearly.
