Gbenga Daniel Aides Exchange Words Over Dapo Abiodun's Commissioned Projects Cost, Expose Rot in Government ~ Abamiedaablog

 

Drama ensued Friday on a WhatsApp loop in Ogun when a former commissioner for youths and sports, Hon. Bukola Olopade and a former Caretaker Chairman of Ijebu North, Hon. Wale Osiyemi both under the Otunba Gbenga Daniel administration slug it out with each others over the cost of the commissioned projects by Governor Dapo Abiodun. 

Governor Dapo Abiodun had commissioned what he termed legacy projects in Ogun State last Thursday. President Muhammadu Buhari commissioned the projects which include the Ijebu-Ode/Epe expressway, Sagamu-Abeokuta express road, Kings Court Estate, Kobape, Gateway City Gate and one other. 

Gov. Abiodun had declared that the Gateway City Gate cost him #7Billion. This figure caused stirs among residents of the state who raised eyebrow over the figure and claimed that it was an exorbitant figure and a way of stealing public funds. 

Hon. Olopade fondly known as Ozogbula, who has benefitted immensely from the Dapo Abiodun's administration supported the governor's claim and posited that; fraudulent practice was part of every government and anyone who is not comfortable with the spending should approach the EFCC. 

"The road is safer now than before because it is none of my business. Anyone who feels a crime of theft has been committed should go straight to EFCC", Olopade posited. 

Reacting to the statement, the former caretaker chairman of Ijebu North local government under governor Gbenga Daniel administration, Hon. Wale Osiyemi, decries the situation and slammed governor dapo abiodun. He revealed that the artifacts designs at the gateway city gate were originally proposed to former governor Ibikunle Amosun at the cost of #400M which he rejected on the basis that the cost was too high and wondered why Gov. Abiodun could claimed he erected same design at #7billion. 

"What is bad is bad. #27b naira haha, is it an excuse for DA to mop up? Ozogula insistence that sagamu abk road is safer now than when ogd left is a slap. Has DA done anything right for any of his  precedessor?. Compared the cost for the kilometers in ogd era with the 27b naira price tag for cosmetic reconstruction. E mura si ooo (sic)". 

"The arch was initially proposed at #400m to Amosun but he declined now, the same arch has been done for 7b. Is someone tiding up ahead 2023?. The thing DA is doing isn't right to those who helped him emerged and the people he promised to do well to (sic). Surprisingly, you've said that you don't care what is stolen and who has stolen, how people change over time. Do you know that a certain governor bought a roll Royce somewhere around North West London and even changed his child school to the world most expensive boarding?", Osiyemi stated.
