My State is Running Jesus Economy, Governor Wike Boasts.
The governor of Rivers, Nyesom Wike, has said that without God he would not have taken the state as far as he has done
Governor Wike said this on Sunday, November 14, at the Church of Christ in Nations, Port Harcourt
Wike, after donating N30 million to the church said the state runs a Jesus economy, which is why it is prosperous
Governor Nyesom Wike on Sunday, November 14, revealed why Rivers state is one of the wealthiest in the southeast.
Wike, during the fundraising service for the purchase of land by the Church of Christ in Nations, Port Harcourt , noted that the state runs what he calls the Jesus economy, PM News reports.
In a statement by his media aide, Kelvin Ebiri, Wike , who donated N30M to the church said that his administration will not fail to support the ministry as it affected the spiritual and physical aspects of people.
He, therefore, urged Christians to continue to pray for the success of his administration and the entire state, adding that without God he would not have achieved anything in Rivers.
The statement read in part:
“Even in governance, we won’t have been able to achieve anything without God. Look at the economy of the country today, but everyday, we are either commissioning or flagging off projects. People ask how do you do this?
"His Excellency will always say, this State is a Christian State, and this State is running a Jesus economy. In the Jesus economy, you give a little to the work of God, and God multiples that little you have given in a millionfold. It is with that we are able to execute our projects.”
God has already sealed it: Governor Wike reveals who will be his successor in 2023
Meanwhile, Wike was getting ready for the 2023 general elections and he had boasted that his successor would come from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and no other party.
He disclosed that work was ongoing to ensure that the party also clinches victory at the forthcoming presidential election in 2023.
The Rivers governor assured the people that no project in the state awarded by this administration would be abandoned as he plans to complete all over them before his tenure ended
