CONFERMENT OF YEWA CHIEFTAINCY TITLES, OWYPF COMMEND OBA OLUGBENLE FOR HIS SENSE OF GOOD DISCRETION.

The entire members and the General Executive Council of Ogun West Youth Progressive Forum (OWYPF) seize this medium to join other well-meaning sons and daughters of Yewaland across the world to felicitate with the new conferees of various chieftaincy titles by the Yewa Traditional Council.

In the same vein, we commend and congratulate the Paramount Ruler and Chairman of Yewa Traditional Council, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle as well as all our Obas and traditional rulers who constitute the revered Yewa Traditional Council for their honest sense of good discretion, purpose, courage and foresight in conferring the pan-Yewa chieftaincy titles to truly deserving Yewa indigenes.

The conferees should take advantage of this momentous honour to rededicate and redouble their efforts, positions and God-given privileges to the struggle for social development, economic empowerment, cultural appreciation and political emancipation and advancement of the entire Yewaland and her impoverished indigenes.

We, therefore, urge all true Yewa sons and daughters to support our leaders and all efforts aimed at uniting and uplifting Yewaland out of the doldrums. Yewa axis of Ogun State has long been neglected, marginalized and underdeveloped. Hence, we must be vigilant and discerning and not allow a discredited political oppressor who did not, in his time, consider Yewaland worthy of any visible developmental project, to use this issue of well-considered conferment of chieftaincy titles to divide us for their own selfish political ends. We must be wiser and smarter than the oppressors and political merchants. Yewa must unite! The unabating oppression, division and marginalization must stop!

The conferees are worthy of the honour from their motherland. Their antecedents, passion and contributions to the unity, peace, development and progress of Yewaland speak volume.

United we stand, divided we fall!

eSigned:

Prince Ezekiel Aderonmu,

President, Ogun West Youth Progressive Forum.
