WORLD PEACE DAY: ADWF PREACHES PEACE, LOVE AND UNITY AS (SPSP) CELEBRATES WORLD PEACE DAY IN GRAND STYLE.



In Four decades ago, the United Nations General Assembly has passed into law, the BILL that establishes WORLD PEACE DAY.

The President of ADW Foundation, and NSCDC OGUN state Peace Ambassador, Alhaji (Asiwaju) Dapo Wahab JP today enjoined all and sundry to embrace PEACE in all their doings.



Speaking as a special guest of honor at a peace seminar organised by the Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP), ogun state chapter in partnership with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), ogun state command with the theme 'Recovering for an Equitable and Sustainable World'.



Asiwaju appealed to the general public to be MORE TOLERANT in their dealings in order to enjoy lasting peace in our society that we should all be MEN  AND WOMEN OF PEACE, because not all men and women of God are lover of peace. We should all RECOGNIZE AND CELEBRATE our individual differences.



To crown it all, he enjoined every citizen to be careful of the way we use  SOCIAL MEDIA, because video evidences always cause crises in our society.



The Commandant of the Civil Defense College of Security and Management, Commander Awosuyi Rachael Oluwaseyifunmi in her speech  explained  the word 'MAN AGE MEN T' in their profession, and also what the colours of NSCDC  uniform stand for,

Blue (LOVE ),

White (PEACE),

Red (DANGER).

She informed members of the public that Peace Desk Officers had been put in place throughout the Nation for their use.

She encouraged all to be  peace loving individuals and always teach others in the society to embrace PEACE.

The chairman of society for peace studies and practice, ogun state chapter, Mr. Olasunkanmi Osundairo thanked all for honouring their invitation and enjoined all to embrace PEACE at all times, as  world peace day is celebrated today.
