OGUN LG POLL: PDP's Exclusion is a Sign of APC's Failure - Toyin Amuzu.
The exclusion of the authentic candidates of the Ogun State People's Democratic Party, PDP, from the just concluded local government elections in the state, is an indication that the ruling All Progressives Congress has failed woefully while the PDP remains a party to beat anytime.
A chieftain of the PDP, Chief Toyin Amuzu, TA, who stated this in Abeokuta said the ruling party was so jittery and aware of its many failures, thus the need to arm-twist the PDP, through the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission, OGSIEC which acted as the appendage of the Government, by accepting the list of those who were not even members of the PDP.
According to him, "since the coming on board of the ruling party, the country at large as well as the State had suffered great economic woes, indebtedness, insecurity, infrastructure deficit, disunity, human right abuse, and gagging of the press and citizens among others.
"An average Nigerian now finds everything so difficult. It is now very clear that they have nothing to offer, than resorting to a totalitarian and autocratic government where citizens suffer and do not have a say, he said.
Chief Amuzu who enjoined members of the public not to be discouraged, advised Ogun residents to save themselves from the misrule and the maladministration of the ruling APC by rising to register massively in the ongoing INEC registration exercise.
He explained that the CONSENT JUDGEMENT of the Federal High Court, Abuja, delivered on the 22nd June, 2021, has cleared the air as the only authentic executives of the Ogun State chapter of the PDP is under the Chairmanship of Alh (Dr) Sikirulai Ogundele.
This Abuja judgement, Chief Amuzu said was also affirmed in the judgement of the Ogun State High Court, Isabo in suit no M/55/2021 between Sikirulai Ogundele VS OGSIEC.
In his words, Chief Amuzu said "the PDP would have won across the state if the party was allowed to participate thus the need for the government in power to shift the goal post so as not to be disgraced".
