Over 300 Residents Benefits From Toyin Amuzu Free Community Medical Check-Up.

Residents in Ijaiye Abeokuta of Ogun State on Saturday enjoyed free medical check-up, treatment, and counselling organised by founder of TA Support Group, Chief Toyin Amuzu, a top real estate developer.

Chief Amuzu said that the aim of the exercise was to create awareness about the need for people to go for regular medical check-up and look after their health.

Amuzu said: “I have realised over time that many people do not care about their health status; they just want to work. Even when they are ill, they diagnose the ailment and treat themselves without even going for a proper check-up.

“I am so happy about the turn out of people; the record has over 300 people who have gone through various test and consultations. It is important that people check themselves regularly so that they can know their status and stay healthy. “

He said that the association plans to carry out more free medical exercise in future in order to provide healthcare delivery for residents.

“This is not the first episode of this exercise; we intend to carry out more medical check ups, many programs like this will come up before the end of this year. This way, we will be able to reach out to many residents in the area and also create awareness."

Two beneficiaries, who spoke to GistIsland Online, expressed gratitude to Chief Toyin Amuzu for the exercise.

A trader, Mrs Kemi Olawaye, said she was happy to be part of the exercise as she was never opportuned to visit the clinics for check-ups for a while.

According to her, “This is so, because I go to the market everyday and never have time for myself. Exercise like this one will give many traders like me the opportunity to know their health status and also help people who cannot afford healthcare. “

Another participant, Mr Fatai Alowonle, said he was passing by and saw that free medical treatment was given to people in the area.

Alowonle said: “I had to come and participate, because it is the only opportunity I have to check my health status and talk to a doctor.

“I appreciate this gesture by Toyin Amuzu Support Group and hope they continue in the future so that we can enjoy the services and stay healthy. “

The free medical services was enjoyed by youths, aged men and women.
