Various ethnic groups have lived together for many years, as enunciated by the Seriki Fulani of Ayetoro, as there have been inter tribal marriages hence the need to live in peace and harmony.

The youths appealed to law enforcement agents to live up to expectations as the leaders of tomorrow are being brought down by these hoodlums.

The youths appealed to all those in authority to come to their aid, calm frayed nerves as revenge killing will not do anyone any good.

The Ayetoro area commander, ACP Aruna, who returned from the hot zone of Egua, assured members at the meeting that his men will redouble efforts at ensuring that normalcy returns within the shortest possible time, while calling on those working with mercenaries to desist.

Araba Ode of Yewa, cautioned that all perpetrators will be brought to book, adding that no tribe will be spared if found culpable.

The representative of the traditional ruler of Ayetoro also reiterated the fact that Yorubas are also living in other parts of the country without troubling the peace of their host communities and that must be reciprocated in the southwest. At the end of deliberations the meeting agreed that:

1. All Seriki Fulanis in Yewa to meet and agree on modalities of fishing out the mercenaries amongst them between now and Wednesday.

2. Traditional fathers  to also call the meeting of their affected Baales to sensitize and get assurances for them to desist from seeding lands to criminals because of monetary gains within same time frame.

3. A larger meeting of all stakeholders and security agencies to come up next week to sign a memonradum of peace with government and other stakeholders.

It was also agreed that the Fulanis and indigenes should henceforth work together to fish out criminals thereby removing the toga of ethnic coloration in their joint efforts.

In all it was a very fruitful meeting.
