OGUN CP CHARGED POLICE OFFICERS TO FOLLOW RULES AND THE LAW IN RESPECT TO THE FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN RIGHT OF THE CITIZENS

The new Ogun State commissioner of police, CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun has changed the officers of police in Ogun State to follow the rules of law in respect to the fundamental human right of the citizens and they will be guided by the law that his officers will not apply weapons where it is not necessary, in democracy the method apply in dealing with such situations are friendly method that his experience show it hardly have a situation where protest will assume such supremacy.

CP Ajogun said this today in a one day visit to Adatan area command that he is in Ogun State to work and provide good and solid foundation to fight crime and there is know way he can provide the leadership without the support of his gallant officers.

He promise to join hand with the PCRC in ogun state to fight crime in various community that they are the one who will assist in scan the environment and the command will continue closely watch the environment and find out what are the security challenge because security priority are different from one community and other.

You must be knowledgeable about the environment and respect anyone you are dealing with and also be very careful when you are handling your weapons and response to the distress on time, CP Ajogun said.

Earlier in his welcome address, the State PCRC chairman, (Ven). Dr Samson Kunle Popoola (JP) promise 100% support and adequate cooperation to Ogun State Police Command.

We are going to sustain the peace that we have had in Ogun State for a long time and we will surpass it to be able to exploit some of the promise to give 100% and regular information to assist the officers of the command in all logistics to make them happy, said (Ven). Dr Popoola (JP)

PCRC leaders in attendance of the stakeholders meeting were the National Vice Chairman, South West Alhaji Mogaji Olaniyan, State chairman, (Ven) Dr. Samson Kunle Popoola (JP), the State Deputy Secretary, Alhaji Farouk Akintunde, the representative of Adatan area command chairman, Hon. Taiwo Akinlabi who is also the Deputy chairman, Engr. Adedapo Adesanya and others.
